You’ve cuddled up in your favorite chair or sofa all winter, so it’s no surprise that this is one of the dirtiest pieces of furniture in your home. To thoroughly clean your upholstered furniture naturally, follow these steps:
- Remove cushions, if applicable, and sprinkle baking soda on the Leave it on for 1/2 – 1 hour to help remove any odors.
- Vacuum the baking soda off the fabric and make sure to get into any nooks and crannies where crumbs and random debris like to fall.
- With an electric mixer, whip up a frothy bowl of 1/2 cup of natural detergent with a tablespoon of water.
- Rub a layer of bubbles on the fabric.
- Wipe suds off with a microfiber towel or damp cloth.
- Enjoy your clean furniture!

Barks and Badges Fundraiser for Washoe County K-9 Partners!
Join Consign Furniture at Bartley Ranch Regional Park on Saturday, May 19th as we help raise money for Washoe County K-9 Partners. Barks and Badges will be a day filled with fun and games for the whole family! From 10:00am – 3:00pm, meet the K-9’s and see them show off their skills! Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for purchase. There will be music, games and a child ID creator on site. A $5 donation per car is appreciated.
Then at 6:00pm, join us at the Nugget Casino in Sparks for the Barks and Badges Benefit Dinner. Entertainment will be provided by Spanish Guitarist Milton Merlos https://www.facebook.com/spanishguitarrah/. There will be a prize-packed silent auction, raffle prizes and more.
